It is a requirement by law that there is at least one ‘qualified’ staff member present during each session. This means that they have completed a ‘recognised’ tertiary qualification in the field of Early Childhood. The Department of Human Services also states that there must be a ratio of no less than 1 adult: 15 children during session times. (This does not include parent helpers).

Helen and Celia have been assistants at the kindergarten for over 10 years and complement the various class programs with an environmental program and a Chinese program respectively.
